Death of the Social Contract

Below is Paul Craig Roberts' reminder about who is most to blame for the absolute corruption of American government institutions.

This quoted extract refers to the US Supreme Court's — institutionally absurd — Citizens United v. Federal Election Commission, 558 U.S. 310 (2010) opinion:

Today not even the US Secretary of Health, Robert F. Kennedy, Jr., can prevail over Big Pharma’s influence over the FDA, CDC, NIH–all of which report to Secretary Kennedy and all of whom obey Big Pharma.

Secretary Kennedy cannot even get the proven dangerous Covid-19 vaccines prohibited. Big Pharma’s political campaign contributions are more powerful than the Secretary of Health.

The US Supreme Court destroyed the accountability of the US government when it ruled that corporations had First Amendment rights to purchase the US government to serve their agendas.

Regarding the Citizens United decision

Foresight (then) and subsequent history (now) have well demonstrated how societally and systemically obtuse the US Supreme Court is.

The Court is just as much a money-captured institution, as the rest of American government is.

Ignoring the forest for the trees, as accomplished in the Citizens United judicial decision, comes no more exquisitely flavored.

I mention Roberts' (above-quoted conclusion) . . .

. . . to those Americans, who still think that the American Dystopia can be reversed without violent upheaval.

The Grand American Plutocracy has bought the entire nation.

The predictable outcome to that purchase, is exactly as Caitlin Johnstone describes:

They’ve been quietly constructing a cage around us this entire time in order to lock us into this capitalist dystopia forever.

The oligarchs and empire managers have been rapidly developing technologies that will facilitate mass surveillance and autonomous weapons systems — already being field-tested in places like Gaza — which just so happen to be exactly what the ruling class would require in order to undermine and quash any revolutionary movements which might emerge in response to the ever-increasing abuses and inequalities of capitalism.

The trapper is patiently pacing us into accepting mass surveillance, unfettered artificial intelligence advancement, militarized robots, police drones, digital currencies, propaganda, censorship, and the AI-assisted manipulation of the flow of information.

And then, when the time is right, the gate will come crashing down.

It’s essentially a race between revolution and high-tech totalitarianism.

A race between the awakening of public consciousness to the urgent need for revolutionary change, and the ability of our rulers to prevent revolutionary change from ever occurring.

A race between our ability to start using the power of our numbers to force an end to the abusive systems under which we live, and the ability of rich and powerful dominators to use surveillance, robotics and AI-assisted control mechanisms to nullify all the advantages we hold over them.

If you want a knowledgeable glimpse . . .

. . . at how this enslaving technology works — in and among your electronic devices, the cloud and Government — see:

Fixing such a complete reversal . . .

. . . of government's presumed population-serving role will, almost certainly — given the pusillanimous complacency of the US population — require counter-violence arriving in our homeland, as a result of US attacks aimed abroad.

The only peoples with the necessary geographic reach to accomplish this are Russian, Chinese and arguably, North Korean.

This potential retaliatory situation is why . . .

. . . Neocon America's incessant warmongering is so strategically absurd.

The neocon Establishment insists upon provoking exactly the nuclear war, that is the only thing likely to usurp the Grand American Plutocracy's avarice-based hold upon the American population.

The moral? — Paradox?

American Government's war-loving psychosis may ultimately become a We the People-freeing thing.

To the few of us left, after those America-invited retaliatory strikes.
