Genuine friendliness in a repetitive Department of Motor Vehicles job

Today, I went to turn in my Oklahoma driver’s license for a Colorado one.  All the Department of Motor Vehicles employees were busy (but courteous) with the very large room’s crowd of applicants.

The woman who took my information was exceptional in exhibiting a direct and spontaneously friendly humanity to all her clients.  She shone, even while being unusually efficient.

One person’s grace can flavor a day.  And longer.
