Iran apparently joins deluded Russia in believing in the geopolitical Tooth Fairy

According to Western media . . .

. . . the Iran War is on its way out.

Has the perpetually lying and agreement-obliterating United States changed its spots?

If you read Reuters' account . . .

. . . of the Iran-US memorandum of understanding — reportedly electronically signed as of today (15 June 2026) — you immediately realize that the supposedly agreed-upon points existentially torpedo each of the geopolitical goals that the United States, Israel and Iran have brought to the conflict:

Angus McDowall, Alexandra Hudson and Ros Russell, What the US and Iran say is in the memorandum to end the war, Reuters (15 June 2026)

In short

While the United States continues to string Iran along with unworkable promises that everyone on the planet knows that America will not keep — Israel (with America's full financial, military and weapons assistance) continues expanding its genocidal reach within the Middle East.

All of that, at Iran's direct expense.

With history as a reference . . .

. . . Iran cannot reasonably believe that the internally unworkable Memorandum has an iota of genuine peace-seeking contained within it.

Yet in spite of this blatantly obvious flaw, Iran apparently has acquiesced in this preposterous denial of reality. Even in the face of Israel's explicitly stated refusal to be included in it.

So, what happened to Iran's recently announced defense of Lebanon?

Or to Iran's recognition that only it can prevent the Zionist Empire from gobbling the entirety of the Middle East?

Both geopolitical stances have apparently vanished under the (reported and not necessarily true) temptation of accepting billions and billions of American dollars.

In sum

I cannot think of another time (in my longish life) that reality-denying imbecility has so visibly paraded itself across a substantial portion of this planet.

Think Russia. And (now) Iran.

Iran seems to have adopted Putin's Ukraine War model of delusional Tooth Fairy dreaming.

Meanwhile, Israel continues to be the unapologetically demonic force that it has always been.

And Trump remains the maniacally lying, demented, narcissistic and agreement-incapable — thus perfectly US-characterizing — grifting con man that he has always been.

So, Iran has come to a ridiculously meaningless agreement that serves no conceivably Empire-deterring purpose?

Until someone credibly threatens to nuke Israel . . .

. . . and/or the equally Zionistically inclined, genocide-practicing United States — nothing will favorably change for Iran. Or for the achievement of even a mild approximation of world peace.

A geopolitical realist would acknowledge the successful North Korean nuclear weapons model of national survival. And immediately work toward its accomplishment, under the cover of self-defending conventional weapons fire.

The moral? — Until Israel's apartheid empire is destroyed . . .

. . . and/or the Zionist United States is economically and militarily defanged — peace anywhere at all is impossible.

The anti-Zionist Resistance Front's cowardly passivity remains the most humanity-wide societally damaging of human traits.

The Russian model of inaction in the face of coordinated attacks against the Federation is not a viable one.

Of this cowardly geopolitical characteristic, China's Oliver Hua accurately observed that:

History teaches us when a nation deals with a bully and a hegemonic power, you don’t back down. You fight. And fight some more.

The only way to get the hegemon to the negotiating table is to give it a bloody nose, preferably a broken one.

What is Iran doing?

Does it really think that time is on its side?

Of that deluded perspective, Brian Berletic (and I) have already spoken.
