Cultural standards and Whiny-Boy Comey

Is the self-righteous opportunist, Jim Comey, the manipulative drama queen that we should emulate?

Probably not.

Although I am not delighted with President Trump, it seems to me that outside-the-rules efforts to "get" him imperil both fairness and freedom in nasty ways.

Allow me to illustrate, using the Comey versus Trump imbroglio.

Anti-Trumpists were delighted with former FBI Director James Comey's Senate testimony

They happily estimated that President Trump's (Russia Cloud Investigation) obstruction grave has been dug.

But when you think about it, Jim-Whiny Dandy should have been fired right after his Bash Hillary escapades. The man is arguably an unprincipled menace to human and Constitutional decency.

Comey's Boy Scout charade

Director Comey repeatedly took notes regarding his conversations with the newly elected president. He reportedly never did the same with the man who hired him, President Obama. Nor did he with some of the questionable folk in that administration.

It was only when elected Republican Trump walked into the White House that Whiny Boy's self-righteous umbrage was put on alert.

A more honorable person would have set his or her misgivings directly in front of the new president, rather than plotting to stab him in the back with a Machiavellian knife.

In truth — Director Douchey got his undies into a knot over not much

As a former police supervisor and constitutionally knowledgeable assistant attorney general, I see nothing notably alarming in President's Trump's alleged conversations with Director Comey.

Sure, the President was leaning in. But so what? That's what powerful people do. They let you know what they would like to see happen.

If you can't take that kind of heat with reasonably deft grace, you have no business heading a law enforcement agency.

Theatrically manipulating Congress about what supposedly happened is a Machiavellian's way of achieving retribution for having been justifiably fired, whatever the President's pretext.

Even Comey himself admitted — before it became tactically convenient for him imply the opposite — that the President did not order him to drop the Russia investigation.

But now that Director Quivering Lips is lapping the Democratic Party's adoring praise, he has cleverly managed to:

(a) turn pretty much nothing into

(b) wannabe something,

so that

(c) our American play of Constantly Hysterical People's Ridiculousness can continue on (and on) for years.

DC-style "genius" — sure.

Respect-worthy — no.

The moral? — the United States has become an Absurdist Theater

The more contemptible the ass, the more he and she commandeer the American stage. This is what happens, when a society loses even a minimal sense of human and professional decency:

How, after all, do "you" think that the markedly less than ethically and intellectually admirable Donald Trump got himself elected?

And why do you think we are paying so much attention to the scheming douchebag who wants to unseat him?

By our leaders shall y'all measure us.
