Whiney America sanctions North Korea over missile tests

What a pathetic bunch of oligarchic goons?

With its undies in a snit:

The United States on Friday imposed sanctions on two Russian banks, a North Korean company and a person it accused of supporting North Korea's weapons of mass destruction program, increasing pressure on Pyongyang over its renewed ballistic missile launches.

The latest American move came a day after China and Russia vetoed a U.S.-led push to impose more United Nations sanctions on North Korea over its ballistic missile launches, publicly splitting the U.N. Security Council for the first time since it started punishing Pyongyang in 2006.

The vetoes came despite what the United States says was a sixth test of an intercontinental ballistic missile (ICBM) by North Korea this year and signs that Pyongyang is preparing to conduct its first nuclear test since 2017.

The U.S. Treasury Department in a statement said it targeted Air Koryo Trading Corp as well as Russian financial institutions the Far Eastern Bank and Bank Sputnik for contributing to procurement and revenue generation for North Korean organizations.

Washington also designated Jong Yong Nam, a Belarus-based representative of an organization subordinate to the North Korea Second Academy of Natural Sciences (SANS), who Washington said has supported North Korean organizations linked to the development of ballistic missiles.

Let's assess the situation

As immediately pertinent background:

The US very recently provoked a proxy war with Russia. With its announced aim being to weaken the Federation.

The only thing allowing the Rooskies to successfully tell the US to 'go pound sand' is their stockpile of already US-aimed nuclear weapons.

Ergo . . .

When North Korea correctly reminds itself, as it always has, that American Goonism can only be offset with missiles and nukes — the US stomps its Tantrum Feet and babbly-wails that America's world domination is slipping.

And off to the Sanctioning Lucre Box we go.

Which, in this laughable case, consists of the — certainly ineffectual — sanctioning of two Russian banks, a comparatively unknown Japanese financial business, as well as a solitary North Korean person, who happens to live in Belarus.

This particular anti-North Korea sanctioning is the absolute definition of 'grasping and petty'.

The moral? — Respect for the United States slips every day

Deservedly so.

What was once a great and deservedly proud nation is now a quivering heap of selfishness, impotence and whiney self-importance.

Everyone, including Americans, will be better off when the United States' governing neocon crowd has been shuffled off to War Criminal Prison or the Isle of Shun.
