Was Mitch McConnell inadvertently right about Merrick Garland?

Rationally acquired despair

After a coast-to-coast drive across the United States — mainly according to my wife's favoritization of busy Interstates and slave-making toll roads — I accept the truth of Paul Craig Roberts' lament about the 100 percent overlapping relationship between Stupidity and the American experience:

Wherever you look in the West, all you can see is stupid leadership. This is true not only of government, but of Wall Street, corporations, and universities.

The rarest thing in the Western World is intelligence.

Just one of innumerable examples of brainless American feces, floating

Recall when Senate majority leader Mitch McConnell prevented Merrick Garland from getting anywhere near the Supreme Court?

It turns out that McConnell — probably completely motivated by his customary maliciousness, rather than his brain (if such exists) — was right.

Nevertheless, Garland — who is a spineless, morality-lacking twit by any reasonable definition of those terms — now heads the Justice Department. Which he has successfully turned into yet another organ of Government's suppression, repression and subjugation of We the People.

This vomit-inducing Attorney General's (surely knowing) assault upon fair-minded equitable behavior — regarding Constitutional enforcement — should make even blatant Nazis blush at his naked embrace of muscular totalitarianism.

Yet Democrats — being for the most part easily flummoxed by Realities of any kind — are deeply Merrick-enthused.

And Republicans — who are (historically) mostly societally useless fondlers of money, the Military Industrial Complex, and guns for their own sakes — do nothing substantive to expel the monarchistically inclined Gestapo Fascist from his throne of law enforcement power.

The moral? — Embrace nihilistic self-destruction?

There is nothing of once-vaunted 'American values' to lose anymore.

The American Experiment lies like a squash-mangled baby beneath decades of self-inflicted mind-rubble. Blanket stupidity and incorrigible self-extinction have won.

So let us all march (happily) with millions, millions and millions of other void-skulled sheep.

We can call our chains, 'jewelry' — and our self-enslavement, 'freedom'.

The foundations for this elimination of Brain Light already exist in our intentionally perverted NewSpeak language.

Cavorting despair brings its own elation, doesn't it?
