Losing political strategy — Democrats want to ban assault rifles, high capacity magazines — and tax poor people (30 to 50 percent) for guns and ammunition

Are y'all Donkey Dopes trying to lose to President Trump in November?

A few days ago, I mentioned that the perennially inept Democratic Party may be trying to lose the 2020 election, if its Convention and Platform are indicative.

Today, I discovered an additional anti-gun legislative bill that I had missed. This is HR 5717.

In reading parts of the proposed law, I see that it plans to financially "stomp the crap" out of the United States' gun-owning working and impoverished classes.

In short, political self-destruction

The Democratic Party is again attacking exactly the people that it (absolutely) needs to overwhelm President Trump's reelection ambitions.

The bill's most pertinent specifics

HR 5717's licensing requirement is calculated to enrage most of the American Heartland's anti-authoritarian folk:

See section 101 — amending Title 18 § 932 "License to own firearms and ammunition".

HR 5717's sloppy wording continues on to make semi-automatic firearms operation look to be of potentially dubious future legality:

See section 512 "Restrictions on assault weapons and large capacity ammunition feeding devices" — changing Title 18 § 922.

And the bill also proposes that harassing lesser income folk with draconian gun taxes would be a good idea. It adds a 30 percent tax to firearms sales and a 50 percent one to ammunition costs. Evidently, keeping the We the Rabble helpless is this Democrat-sponsored bill's intent:

See section 803 "Increase in excise taxes relating to firearms" — amending the Internal Revenue Code of 1986's section 4181.

Are Democrats really going to be this politically stupid — again?

If HR 5717's details make full American rounds — to create a bad pun — President Trump may easily be reelected.

Recall that the US Electoral College somewhat protects the rights and interests of people, who inhabit this nation's more wide-open spaces. They are unlikely to volunteer to let City Rat mentalities take them down.

If this is not politically obvious . . .

. . . and it may not be, depending upon where you live — watch Beau of the Fifth Column explain the ramifications:

An aside on proper strategizing

In war and politics, one has to know and understand one's sources of power.

A wise strategist looks not only to his and her natural base, but to those additional sources of clout that one might be able to peal from an Adversary's pool. In any existential conflict — as Democrats claim the 2020 national election is — one cannot afford to reject transfers from the other side.

Yet despite this Sun Tzu-labeled obviousness, Democrats repetitively fling away fruit that is trying to fall into their laps.

For instance, have you seen the clever anti-Trump advertisements made by rebelling conservatives' Republican Voters against Trump and Lincoln Project?

Why are Democrats trying to shoo these volunteers back to Trump's trenches?

Are y'all friggin' nuts?

The moral? — The incendiary stupidity that Democrats consistently display in the national political arena . . .

. . . would make for entertaining comedy — were President Trump not the morally despicable and Constitution-thrashing Commander in Chief that he is.

Sadly, come late November, I can tentatively foresee a lot of Democratic Party boohooing.

Followed, no doubt, by another tedious onslaught of Deep State-spawned lies — concocted solely to assail the then-repeating President — whom the Party could easily have defeated on the basis of his genuine noxiousness in 2020 — had Democrats not been so stupendously self-destructive.

Being American these days is completely exhausting.

We are constantly assaulted by home-grown morons from all sides.
