Exactly how major wars begin — NATO secretary general Stoltenberg continues to shoot off his mouth

If you're not paying attention, you may wind up with your own tail in the fire

The United States' neve-rending attempts to encircle the Russian Federation — right up to its borders — looks as if it is about to turn itself into a major war.

After decades of Western encroachment, Russia recently warned the United States (and NATO) that it is no more likely to tolerate NATO feet in Ukraine, than the United States is apt to put up with Russian bases in Canada and Cuba:

Ukraine has used the purported threat of Russian troops to attempt to push the US-led bloc into allowing Kiev to become a member state.

Attempts to expand NATO eastwards will lead to “dire consequences” for the US-led bloc, and there is no way Moscow will shift from its position opposing the alliance’s enlargement, Russia’s deputy foreign minister said on Monday.

Speaking to the newspaper Izvestia, Sergey Ryabkov claimed that a succession of Soviet and Russian leaders were “repeatedly told” that there would be no further movement of NATO to the east, but the opposite has shown itself to be true.

“There should be no further expansion of NATO,” Ryabkov said.

“Attempts to present things as if Russia does not have a right of a veto here are all untenable. We will stand our ground. If our opponents go against us, they will see that their security is not strengthened. The consequences for them will be dire.”

The Kremlin has repeatedly described Ukrainian membership as a red line that must not be crossed.

I have confirmed the RT report by finding similar (Google-translated) accounts in Izvestia and Tass.

Deputy Foreign Minister Ryabkov's language is one of ultimatum.

That's unusual for present-day Russian leadership. Who are usually given (like the communist Chinese) to diplomatically measured responses.

It is reasonably clear that the Federation is probably going to follow through on its stand against further NATO encirclement.

Unhelpfully on our receiving end, US president 'Dementia Joe' Biden arrogantly intoned that he is not having any of it:

President Joe Biden didn’t accept Russian leader Vladimir Putin’s “red lines” on Ukraine during their high-stakes video call Tuesday [07 December 2021] that came as Russia’s military builds its presence on the Ukrainian border.

Namely, that means the U.S. isn’t accepting Putin’s demand that Ukraine be denied entrance into the North Atlantic Treaty Organization, which is the world’s most powerful military alliance. An attack on one NATO country is considered an attack on all of them.

According to President Biden's geopolitically silly behavior, only America has a God-granted right to issue ultimatums regarding anybody's existential interests.

In view of the fact that the US has never had to worry about massive invasions from contiguous ground, I find Biden's pea-brained illogic morbidly amusing.

Especially so, considering how disastrously Russia has been invaded — including by the United States — over the centuries.

Our stupidity-puffed leaders think that Russia is joking

Russians, I can deduce from US government's issue-minimizing behavior, must be known for their sense of provocatively delivered humor.

Being familiar with Russian history myself, I entirely missed seeing that form of levity in them.

So, as it turned out, did Napoleon and the Nazis.

And now . . .

. . . NATO Secretary General Jens Stoltenberg is doing a Joe Biden and shooting off his own chickenhawk mouth.

Recall (for geopolitical perspective) that Stoltenberg is Norwegian.

Norway's clout in the world is equivalent to one llama-day's droppings on the altiplano. In other words, zero.

You can bet that, when war comes, it will not be Norwegians doing a measurable portion of the fighting.

Stoltenberg's lapdog yapping is 100 percent borrowed from Europe's leash-holding masters in Washington DC.

Stoltenberg — adding kerosene to the flames

Notice — those of you who know what has really been going on — the Secretary General's absolute disregard for delivering an accurate version of past events:

NATO stands with Ukraine.

All Allies support Ukraine’s sovereignty and territorial integrity. And we do not recognise Russia’s illegal annexation of Crimea.

NATO will continue to give you practical support.

Allies are training and advising your armed forces, participating in joint exercises, and providing equipment.

NATO’s support for Ukraine is not a threat to Russia.

And the decision on whether Ukraine can join NATO will be taken by Ukraine and 30 NATO Allies alone.

The aggressor here is Russia.

What is the West's goal?

I doubt that even the Dementia Joe Clan really wants Ukraine inside NATO.

Instead, US leadership hopes to provoke Russia into intervening in Ukraine. A place where both break-away provinces (the Donetsk and Luhansk People's Republics) are Russian.

After such a display of (allegedly renewed) Federation 'aggression' — the United States will (again) point to Russia as being Satan's more evil brother.

And happily, our arms industry will further escalate its sales — as well as our own military buildup — accordingly.

Lost in this fundamentally nitwitted strategy . . .

. . . is recognition of the fact that it will further tie Russia and China together.

Meaning that one of the planet's two nuclear-dominating powers is now closely aligned with the planet's most economically dominant nation.

The American militarists and neocons, who thought that this was a good strategic idea, should be metaphorically shot in their figuratively plump behinds.

The moral? — Russian ultimatum — delivered and refused

It is now seriously more likely that innocents are going to die for no morally or geopolitically sound reason.

Fault for this unfortunate probability lies exclusively with the 'West'. And with its manipulation of Ukraine's neo-Nazi element.

Stoltenberg's mouthy shenanigans show how little Europeans have learned from both their world wars.

And, for our part, we Americans never learn anything.  Expecting us to gain wisdom, is like forecasting that an empty-skulled marmot is going to grow an Einsteinian brain someday.

Perhaps we should weep. And then pray.

Or is it pray and then weep?

'Ya' got me.
