Dismember the dissidents — imply three retired US generals

When you are too rock-headed to be helpful . . .

. . . should you deliberately make yourselves unhelpful?

Remember what I said about the distressing overall quality of the US general officer class?

What follows is another demonstration of that.

In a situation in which pulling Americans together would be considered a sane thing to do, a trio former US generals decided to throw aviation fuel on the fire, via their hysteria-inducing op ed in the Washington Post:

“With the country still as divided as ever, we must take steps to prepare for the worst,” wrote former Army Major Gen. Paul Eaton, former Brigadier Gen. Steven Anderson and former Army Major Gen. Antonio Taguba.

As the nation nears the first anniversary of the Capitol riot, the generals are “increasingly concerned about the aftermath of the 2024 presidential election and the potential for lethal chaos inside our military, which would put all Americans at severe risk,” they wrote in The Washington Post.

“In short: We are chilled to our bones at the thought of a coup succeeding next time,” they added.

The next time could be far more cataclysmic if members of the military throw in with those who want to overthrow the government, the generals warned.

In a “contested election, with loyalties split,” some might “follow orders from the rightful commander in chief,” while other “rogue units” might “follow the Trumpian loser ... it is not outlandish to say a military breakdown could lead to civil war,” the generals warned.

The Pentagon must act now to reenforce “unity of command,” and order an immediate “civics review” for all members — uniformed and civilian — on the Constitution and electoral integrity, the generals urged.

In other words . . .

. . . those who do not worship Snowflake King Biden must be removed from their active-duty uniforms and, presumably, set naked into Arctic winter.

It's for your own good, boys and girls.

The moral? — The generals' op ed is typical of how raving militarists think

If one can conceive of, or imaginatively concoct, any threat at all — the call is always that we mobilize our Propagandized Band of Faithful and force those (realistically speaking, unlikely) imaginings to come true.

Killing whomever we can, and destroying whatever our mitts touch, in the process.

Intentionally alienating large groups of disparately minded people is, sadly, emblematic of American generals' shared strategy for creating perpetual war and the weapons profits that come with it.

So now, I guess — according to this trio of apparently insanely bored military retirees — we are going to employ the same form of Nihilism within our own borders.

And y'all wonder why the United States is in rapid decline.

In closing — and as a reminder to the many historically ignorant folk, who populate this once great nation — the majority of America's volunteer forces have always come from the comparatively poor sections of the alleged 'homeland'.

And disproportionately so, from the south and inland west. Not so coincidentally where Trumpism is dominant.

So, tell me:

After y'all petty-minded Fright-Stirrers separate these demographics from the American military — exactly who, and of what questionable martial quality, is going to be left to defend us?
