Amusing arrogance from the effete European Union — Kaliningrad

Give the European Union's supreme arrogance . . .

. . . 3 to 5 more years — and then let me know whose land has turned to ashes:

The European Commission has today published further guidance to Member States on the transit of goods from Russia.

This is part of regular technical exchanges on the practical implementation of EU restrictive measures . . . in response to Russia's war of aggression against Ukraine.

This guidance confirms that the transit of sanctioned goods by road with Russian operators is not allowed under the EU measures.

No such similar prohibition exists for rail transport . . . .

Member States shall check whether transit volumes remain within the historical averages of the last 3 years, in particular reflecting the real demand for essential goods at the destination, and that there are no unusual flows or trade patterns that could give rise to circumvention.

The transit of sanctioned military and dual use goods and technology is fully prohibited in any event – regardless of the mode of transport.

The purpose of today's text is to specify the applicable rules and recall that Member States are obliged to prevent all possible forms of circumvention of EU restrictive measures.

[T]he Commission underlines the importance of monitoring the two-way trade flows between Russia and Kaliningrad Oblast to ensure that sanctioned goods cannot enter the EU customs territory.

Sanctions are among the EU's most visible, direct and powerful responses to Russia's brutal and unprovoked attack on Ukraine, including systemic violence and atrocities against the civilian population.

In contemplating the EU's Imperial edict, do recall that . . .

The referenced goods are transiting from Russia to Russia.

A reasonable person would wonder whether an unfortunate accident of geography should have the outsized effect that these war-provoking EU mobsters are trying to give it.

And a prudent person would further question how such a large group of effete, spoiled and decadent European populations is going to enforce their self-righteous posturing(s) over the long term.

Especially so, after having themselves started and fueled the conflict that they are now labeling as evil.

Gargantuan doses of hypocrisy weaken most arguments.

My view, as a principled barbarian . . .

. . . is that Lithuania — and perhaps another or two of the Baltic states — is, effectively speaking, going to cease to exist down the road.

And furthermore, that one (or more) of the supposedly 'more consequential' EU nations is going to be foundering in this NATO-instigated conflict's own-goal ashes.

My forecast?

Shit-talking EU 'pussies' gonna lose.

The moral? — Never pick a fight with . . .

. . . a forced-to-be warrior nation that has repeatedly experienced what 'existential' means.

Russia chicken-boned the throats of invading Napoleon, as well as the land-grabbing Third Reich.

The imperiously aggressive (but decadently effete) European Union is, it seems, next.

Good riddance, I assess in advance.
