US to COVID-test travelers from China Hong Kong and Macau — for no medically articulable reason

Making enemies is so much fun for American Government

The United States — a nation governed by a passel of brainlessly absolute Adam Henrys — announced the following:

If you plan to travel by air to the United States from China, Hong Kong, or Macau, you will need to get a COVID-19 viral test no more than 2 days before your flight.

You must show your negative result to the airline before you board your flight.

This requirement also applies if you have been in China, Hong Kong, or Macau in the past 10 days . . . .

The requirement does not apply if you transited through an airport in China, Hong Kong, or Macau en route to the United States from another country, or if you spent less than 24 hours in China, Hong Kong, or Macau.

If you recently recovered from COVID-19, you may instead travel with one of the following forms of documentation of recovery from COVID-19:

Your positive COVID-19 viral test result on a sample taken more than 10 days but fewer than 91 days before your flight, or

Your positive COVID-19 viral test result on a sample taken 10 or fewer days before your flight PLUS a letter from a licensed healthcare provider or a public health official stating that your COVID-19 symptoms started more than 10 days before your flight.

These requirements apply to passengers 2 years of age and older regardless of citizenship or vaccination status.

And . . .

The oft-proven Idiot in Charge at the CDC (Rochelle Walensky) tweeted the following (evidentiarily clueless) rationale for the order:

We can't stop the spread of #COVID19, but pre-departure testing and the requirement to show a negative test result when flying from China to the U.S. can help slow the spread as we work to identify and understand any potential new variants.

Discriminatory stupidity . . .

. . . comes no more blatant than this.

First, there is no evidence — none at all, now or ever — that antigen testing, which is prone to producing ridiculous numbers of false negatives early in infection, slows COVID's spread.

Second, the CDC is (apparently) assuming that only China, Hong Kong and Macau are endemic homes to COVID and its variants. When, in fact, SARS-CoV-2 is literally everywhere, now.

Third, with the entire planet's human population pool generating variants — and with the West's mRNA vaccines having been proven to be ineffective at reducing viral transmission — there is no reason to suspect that China, Hong Kong and Macau are more likely — than the rest of the globe — to generate 'bad, badder and worst' COVID.

Fourth — and perhaps the most telling part of the CDC's nasty-minded, purely discriminatory, anti-China bone-headism — is the appallingly idiotic logic of thinking that 'only' transiting through an airport in the named nations — or spending less than 24 hours in one of those three nations — has some magically protective effect against being infected, due to the short duration of the visit. The entirety of the alleged COVID pandemic conclusively proved that assumption to be likely invalid.

Yet here we are again — with the United States' supposed Agency of Public Health Master Minds telling us that what is true of a highly contagious respiratory virus, is not.

The moral? — My patience with the (literally) imbecilic CDC is exhausted

Every one of the demonstrably turd-brained fools in power at that institution, should be turned into metaphorical dog food and tossed to hungry rats.

'Those' people have been a scumsucking embarrassment to American credibility. Whether intellectual or moral.
