American tribalism — at its "cain't read, cain't think" best

The U.S. Republican Party fell all over itself in successfully passing a Senate tax bill that is expected to raise the national debt by an estimated 1 trillion dollars.

As an intended side effect, the bill eventually screws over ordinary folk in favor of further wealthifying the uber-rich.

Republicans felt so deeply about these divine purposes that they passed the 479 page bill unread and with last second, penciled-in emendations whose content virtually no one was aware of.

Senate majority leader Evil Turtle Man was proud.

The moral? — Even a group of clannish proto-apes would have exhibited a more thoughtful dignity

Republicans' Obama era blather about the evils of national indebtedness is now inarguably revealed as having been unprincipled fraud.

The Party of the Anti-Christ gleefully marches on.
