Jeffrey Goldberg's anti-Trump "losers-suckers" hit piece revived the "swift boating" propaganda technique

It is interesting what you can get away with . . .

. . . when you completely lack principle.

Jeffrey Goldberg, editor in chief at The Atlantic, has a noticeable record of promoting war, essentially for its own sake. Iraq, Syria and Iran, for example.

So, I cannot say that I was surprised, when Goldberg's anti-Trump hit piece was published 30 months after the alleged events took place. And just in time for the 2020 election:

Jeffrey Goldberg, Trump: Americans Who Died in War Are ‘Losers’ and ‘Suckers’, Atlantic (03 September 2020)

Masterful "swift boating" propaganda

Not at all randomly timed.

Consider what the US War Machine has to gain . . .

. . . by getting rid of President Trump in November's election.

Recall that Trump wants us out of Afghanistan. And, unlike his predecessors, he has not started any major new conflicts.

The American War Machine — and its always conniving Deep State — must fear starvation.

Who better to turn to for assistance in smearing the President than "Perennial War Stooge" Jeffrey Goldberg?

Dishonor meets dishonor?

From an honorable publishing ethics perspective, Goldberg's piece is anything but. It's knife in Trump's back without any attributable substance. A smear.

If Goldberg had had genuinely honorable sources — as opposed to slithering slysters — they would have provided their names.

That's because an attitude like Trump's (is reported to be) is not fit to be Commander in Chief. A source with credible military integrity would have come forward for Sheer Principle's sake.

In attribution's absence, it is more believable that the Military Industrial Complex — always conniving its way in Perpetual War's profitable direction — contacted Goldberg's gnash-slobbering neocon self for help in delivering its "swift boating" propaganda ploy.

Curiously, from Lady Truth's perspective

"Warmonger Humungous" John Bolton, who was on the European trip with Trump — and who now dislikes the President — has denied Goldberg's story.

So has, in circumstantial fashion, Freedom of Information Act-employing Jason Leopold.

Leopold was able to produce a Navy document showing that the Navy (and presumably not Trump) had canceled the Aisne-Marne cemetery trip.

Proof, this is not. But it is certainly more solid than anything that the ethically deficient Goldberg came up with.

The moral? — Which repellant prick ya gonna believe, Trump or Goldberg?

National moral decay of such bloated magnitude is telling.

Dishonor and deceit, of course, are not new in American politics.

What is different, is the depth and breadth to which Untruth's Fungus has permeated the American nation's soul.

Today, it is always a battle of and between lies.

In this, we are all treated like "losers" and "suckers".
