Last week, the Huffington Post went after (the admittedly awful) Ted Cruz — in an unintentionally self-revealing way

By their distortions, shall ye divine their intent

The following self-righteous blurb — amusingly attributed to someone other than the Huffington Post's own Democratic Party-fawning crew of lackeys — showed up last week:

Sen. Ted Cruz’s (R-Texas) threat to “woke” CEOs was slammed Sunday as likely the “most openly corrupt” message ever from the Senate, declared Walter Shaub, former head of the Government Office of Ethics.

In a Wall Street Journal column last week, Cruz warned that CEOs opposing Republican threats to voting rights will be excluded from his party’s pay-to-play legislative operation — because they’re no longer conservative enough for the GOP.

For example, Republicans will stop accepting donations in exchange for “looking the other way” when corporate bigwigs dodge taxes, Cruz wrote in a stunningly honest admission of his party’s current modus operandi.

“This time,” he wrote, “we won’t look the other way on Coca-Cola’s $12 billion in back taxes owed. This time, when Major League Baseball lobbies to preserve its multibillion-dollar antitrust exception, we’ll say no thank you. This time, when Boeing asks for billions in corporate welfare, we’ll simply let the Export-Import Bank expire.”

Shaub, who served under both Barack Obama and Donald Trump, called Cruz’s threat a blatant admission that Republicans are selling corporate donors “access to the government.”

In a clear swipe at Cruz’s clueless self-exposure, Shaub noted that most lawmakers have too much “sense” to say it quite so brazenly.

What the Huffington Post does not tell us . . .

. . .  is that Democrats do exactly the same 'access to government' thing. For exactly the same 'stay in power' reasons. Senator Cruz was just telling the truth about American political and economic culture.

The only reason that the Huffington Post pretends to be upset with Cruz's political extortion is because Democrats are just as crookedly oligarchic, as Republicans are. And Democrats reflexively know that they cannot allow the senator from Texas to paint them with Truth's toxicity-revealing brush.

Understand in this, that the only difference between the two Partisan Clans is that Democrats conceal their golden egg-sucking beneath divisive attempts at perpetual identity fractionization and religiously faked progressivism — of some conceptually incomprehensible kind.

This purportedly humanity-supporting Democratic stance is called, we are told, being 'liberal'. Even though an observant and historically knowledgeable person would read the cumulative evidence exactly the other way.

The moral? — Despicable Ted's candor is a step forward

What Senator Cruz admitted in public could assist in nudging the American Public out of its propaganda-induced somnolence.

Cruz's honesty, in this instance, might even indicate that visibly horned devils — like him — occasionally have value.

Oh, the irony.
