C J Hopkins' "new normal" mentalities — and vermin Democrats

Yesterday's 'fleece the American sheep theme'

In that blurb, I mentioned the accuracy of Jaime O'Neill's — "they came for . . . but we didn't do anything" — anti-tyranny column.

Today, I'll add C. J. Hopkins' voice to O'Neill's.

And we'll conclude today with an observation about the tyranny-inviting uselessness of the Democratic Party's leadership.

Hopkins

C. J. Hopkins is concerned about the American public's generally too accepting reception of Liberal Tyranny's penchant for masks, biological security, and generally being told what to do and where to stay (or go):

People’s minds are being taken over by a much more destructive and less otherworldly force … a force that transforms them overnight into aggressively paranoid, order-following, propaganda-parroting totalitarians.

[They] are now convinced that we need to radically alter the fabric of human society to protect ourselves from a virus that causes mild to moderate flu-like symptoms (or absolutely no symptoms at all) in over 95% of those infected, and that over 99.6% survive, which, it goes without saying, is totally insane.

I’ve been calling them “corona-totalitarians,” but I’m going to call them the “New Normals” from now on, as that more accurately evokes the pathologized-totalitarian ideology they are systematically spreading.

Fear of disease, infection, and death, and obsessive attention to matters of health will dominate every aspect of life. Paranoid propaganda and ideological conditioning will be ubiquitous and constant.

Everyone will be forced to wear medical masks to maintain a constant level of fear and an omnipresent atmosphere of sickness and death, as if the world were one big infectious disease ward. Everyone will wear these masks at all times, at work, at home, in their cars, everywhere.

Anyone who fails or refuses to do so will be deemed “a threat to public health,” and beaten and arrested by the police or the military, or swarmed by mobs of New Normal vigilantes.

Read the rest of Hopkins' article to see exactly how similar this COVID path is to the levels of paranoid safety and national security ridiculousness that we have had to tolerate since 9/11.

Fearful people are easy to control.

In addition to boosting "new normal" Corona Totalitarians . . .

. . . Democratic Party leadership also eagerly opens the door for President Trump's Il Duce act.

Consider the following, for example:

[President Trump] instructed the Treasury Department to stop collecting payroll taxes until Dec. 31 for workers who earn below $104,000 a year;

he called for laid-off workers to receive $400 a week to be paid from $44 billion in funding at the Department of Homeland Security for disaster relief;

he called for Health and Human Services Secretary Alex Azar to study whether an eviction ban is needed;

and he ordered that interest on student loans held by the federal government be waived through Dec. 31.

President Trump and Democratic leaders both predict there will be lawsuits over this weekend’s executive orders sidestepping Congress on issues like payroll taxes and unemployment benefits, but congressional Democrats are unlikely to lead that charge.

Democrats worry about how it will look if they’re seen as trying to block much-needed aid to unemployed workers and households struggling to pay their bills during a recession, even though they fiercely disagree with Trump going around Congress with executive orders.

Congressional Democrats are also increasingly confident that two of Trump’s most controversial orders over the weekend — his instruction to defer payroll taxes and to spend $44 billion in disaster relief funds to supplement weekly unemployment benefits — will be unworkable, making a lawsuit unnecessary.

Judges are often reluctant to intervene in such a high-profile constitutional battle between the White House and Congress so close to an election that could determine which party controls each branch of government.

Democrats are banking on Trump’s orders unraveling long before courts would rule them unconstitutional.

They predict the suspension of payroll taxes will fail to deliver any economic benefit because employers will continue to withhold those taxes from paychecks so that they have it on hand when the bill from the federal government finally becomes due.

Do you wonder why the nation is becoming totalitarian?

According to the above Democrat namby-pambys:

It was just too inconvenient for us to object to the President's elimination of the Constitutionally assigned power of the Legislative Branch of Government.

And, you know, the optics were just too awful for we'uns to pick up the weighty burden of preserving the Separation of Powers. Plus, y'all know how useless and slow the American Judiciary has become.

No dears, we just cannot be bothered with this Constitutional nonsense.

But send us money!

We'll replace Toddling Donny with our hand-picked Dementia Guy in November!

In short

If a US president can appear to be giving Americans slightly cheaper bread and happy-making circuses — during a crisis that the Establishment created all by itself — that's good enough for Democrats.

According to the Fake Party of Opposition, no principle is too sacred to uphold for its own sake.

The moral? — Love freedom? — Best thank God for American unrulies

Like those motorcycle guys in Sturgis.

And everyone else who is (mostly impulsively and sometimes mindlessly) running around, defying Government powermongers from moving their Enslave the Serfs agenda forward.

Where totalitarians swagger, rebelliousness is good for the Liberty Principle.
