Democratic Party Establishment is even more nauseating than its Republican twin

One would have thought that unseating President Trump in 2020 . . .

. . . would not have been that difficult. Given his daily-demonstrated propensity for alienating hordes of people.

Instead, his grip on the presidency has arguably strengthened. This is not just because the President is a Bad Man pulling Hitlerian levers behind the scenes.

It is because Democrats embrace virtually everything that needlessly pisses off the large (electoral college) portions of the American public, who are most likely to vote in 2020.

Democratic Party's vote-losing ineptness

Peter Van Buren accurately pointed to what's wrong with Democrats:

The exaggeration of white privilege that became a cornerstone of the Democratic Party—whites are racist, opioid-soaked gun nuts—is also one of the reasons Democrats risk losing the 2020 race, as it leads inexorably to the devaluation of the very voters needed to clinch the Electoral College.

Proving Van Buren's proposition

Democrats went after President Trump yesterday for having said that COVID-19 is a "foreign virus".

So now, they're attacking the President for having announced a fact.

Ordinarily, these same people are criticizing Trump for reversing truths.

Democratic presidential nomination candidate Joe Biden pandered to "identity" voters this way:

Neither should we panic or fall back on xenophobia.

Labeling COVID-19 a "foreign virus" does not displace the accountability for the misjudgments that have taken place thus far by the Trump Administration."

This irrelevantly directed bickering did not start or stop with Biden

Other Democrats pounced on Republican Representative Kevin McCarthy for this tweet:

Everything you need to know about the Chinese coronavirus can be found on one, regularly-updated [CDC] website.

Lord, did McCarthy take a beating for trying to be helpful:

“Calling the 2019 novel coronavirus the ‘Chinese’ or ‘Wuhan’ coronavirus is as descriptive as calling it the ‘CPAC coronavirus’ — that is to say not descriptive at all,’’ CAPAC Chairwoman Rep. Judy Chu, the first Chinese American woman elected to Congress, said in a statement.

“Worse, it’s harmful.’’

The California Democrat . . . accused McCarthy of “stoking xenophobia.''

[Speaker of the House Nancy] Pelosi called on McCarthy to "delete this tweet and apologize immediately."

"Bigoted statements which spread misinformation and blame Asians and the Asian American community for #coronavirus make us all less safe," she said on Twitter.

Chu and the Asian Pacific American Caucus also directed harsh criticism at Rep. Paul Gosar (R-Ariz.) for repeatedly calling the coronavirus the “Wuhan virus.”

I'm pretty sure that Representative Gosar referred to "Wuhan coronavirus" so that people would immediately know what he was talking about.

Language is intended to communicate clearly, isn't it?

Representative Gosar arguably did that.

But Democrats are taking him to task for fueling a rabid epidemic of Asia-hating that Democrats want us to believe is raging around the country.

Especially so, I suppose, in Kansas, Oklahoma and Wyoming and all the other Democrat-loathing states located at the heart of the nation.

Let's talk semantics

The World Health Organization intentionally made up a mostly meaningless name for "Wuhan coronavirus disease".

They called it COVID-19. Meaning "coronavirus disease 19".

WHO's stated intent was to avoid stimatizing China.

Evidently non-stimatization was their priority, during the long period that WHO grossly underreacted to the illness's severity and spread.

(That tells you how useless the United Nations is for doing anything significant.)

Clarity, on the other hand, is why the scientific community calls the disease's causative virus, SARS-CoV-2. Meaning "severe acute respiratory syndrome coronavirus 2".

This name has the virtue of informing us what the virus does to human beings in a medical sense. That's a big step beyond WHO's obtusely bland name for the human disease that SARS-CoV-2 causes.

I would be inclined to use the "SARS-CoV-2" designation . . .

. . . except that, thanks to WHO and to world leadership's lack of common and scientific sense, virtually no one knows what "SARS-CoV-2" means.

Instead, we have been burdened with having to learn WHO's unhelpful name for essentially the same thing.

Plain-spoken Republicans have rebelled against unnecessary semantic obfuscation.

A reality check about alleged American "racism"

Do you see raging mobs of "white people" dismembering hapless "Asian", "Chinese" and "foreign" victims around the country?

I don't. Although I agree that a potential for unpleasant (or worse) discrimination exists. Just as it always does with Outsider-focused phenomena.

Nevertheless, the possibility for harmful discrimination does not give us an excuse to camouflage the meaningful facts of what happened, is happening and why.

Especially, when national security (of a kind that does not necessitate doing proportionately significant domestic harm) is involved.

Tucker Carlson makes a good argument in this regard. Consider his defensibly common sense presentation, here, on the topic that we are addressing today.

Why can't Democrats think of something actually significant and helpful to put their energies into?

Instead of the identity-worshipping distractions that they are continually trying to sell to a mostly resistant, and arguably more sensibly grounded, public?

We know the answer to this

Democrats have been bought by the same Oligarchy that owns the Republican Establishment.

For plutocrats, the point to owning both American political parties is to fund a continual stream of impotence-creating distractions.

The moral? — I had thought that the SARS-CoV-2 pandemic . . .

. . . and the Trump Administration's obvious mishandling of it, might unseat the President in the 2020 election.

Now, I have doubts.

Democrats are (as always and on intentionally conceived schedule) blowing this political opportunity out their bottom cheeks.

A more useless and annoying band of —Fake Party of Opposition — airheads it is difficult to imagine.
