Clapper-Hayden-Brennan's dishonorable Deep State is interfering in 2020 US election again

Domestic US election interference

Here we go again.

Just when one thinks that President Trump's awfulness has him on the edge of being punted out of office — the Deep State does something so much more anti-Constitutional — that its duplicitous action encourages one to think that Trump should be retained as commander in chief.

James Clapper and . . .

. . . his associated crew of equivalently high-ranking Deep State manipulators are openly intervening in 2020's election. Just like they did 2016's aftermath with their made-up Russiagate nonsense.

Politico reported that, yesterday, those former intelligence operatives released a public statement saying that:

Russia is "one of our nation's primary adversaries"

Russia should not be interfering in American elections

and

the Hunter Biden emails — supposedly found on a laptop left in a repair shop — have all the earmarks of a Russian disinformation operation.

The alleged Hunter Biden emails were subject . . .

. . . of a New York Post story published on 14 October 2020:

Hunter Biden introduced his father, then-Vice President Joe Biden, to a top executive at a Ukrainian energy firm less than a year before the elder Biden pressured government officials in Ukraine into firing a prosecutor who was investigating the company, according to emails obtained by The Post.

The never-before-revealed meeting is mentioned in a message of appreciation that Vadym Pozharskyi, an adviser to the board of Burisma, allegedly sent Hunter Biden on April 17, 2015, about a year after Hunter joined the Burisma board at a reported salary of up to $50,000 a month.

“Dear Hunter, thank you for inviting me to DC and giving an opportunity to meet your father and spent [sic] some time together. It’s realty [sic] an honor and pleasure,” the email reads.

An earlier email from May 2014 also shows Pozharskyi, reportedly Burisma’s No. 3 exec, asking Hunter for “advice on how you could use your influence” on the company’s behalf.

The blockbuster correspondence — which flies in the face of Joe Biden’s claim that he’s “never spoken to my son about his overseas business dealings” — is contained in a massive trove of data recovered from a laptop computer.

What is maddening is that . . .

The letter-signing "former" intelligence officials admit that they have no information whatsoever, regarding the authenticity — or origin — of the purported Hunter Biden emails:

We do not know whether these press reports are accurate, but they do suggest concern within Executive Branch departments and agencies that mirrors ours.

It is high time that Russia stops interfering in our democracy.

 In other words

We don't know shit, but we can't let Trump win again.

Notice that the letter's last sentence is an evidentiary non sequitur

If one has no evidence at all that Russians are election-interfering (in the currently alleged instance), one can hardly, rationally speaking, criticize them about having done so:

"When did you stop beating your wife?"

Dishonor's long roll of names

Following are the prominently known among the letter-signers' names:

Jim Clapper

Former Director of National Intelligence

Former Under Secretary of Defense for Intelligence

Former Director of the National Geospatial Intelligence Agency

Former Director of the Defense Intelligence Agency

Mike Hayden

Former Director, Central Intelligence Agency

Former Director, National Security Agency

Former Principal Deputy Director of National Intelligence

Leon Panetta

Former Director, Central Intelligence Agency

Former Secretary of Defense

John Brennan

Former Director, Central Intelligence Agency

Former White House Homeland Security and Counterterrorism Advisor

Former Director, Terrorism Threat Integration Center

Former Analyst and Operations Officer, Central Intelligence Agency

Forty-seven other, arguably notable, people follow.

And get this epitome of concluding courage . . .

The letter closes its signature block with the following statement:

In addition, nine additional former IC [intelligence community] officers who cannot be named publicly also support the arguments in this letter.

When in doubt, just make up some (apparently cowardly) folk for whatever authenticity their mystery names might add to the Bullshit Manifesto being sculpted.

Notice that

Every one of the letter's signators is using his and her former intelligence agency connection to:

supposedly credibly

posit something for which there is absolutely no evidence

for purposes that are purely and viciously political

so as to (directly or not)

undermine a lawfully elected American president.

The Deep State thereby undermines the Constitution's hostility to secretly exercised autocratic control of the populace.

These inside-government (retired or not) attempts to undermine the Republic's institutions are far more serious than anything attributable to foreign interference in our affairs.

The moral? — US-originated disinformation is way more dangerous than anything from the outside

Constitution-undermining Deep State connivers are our own people.

Even after their false Russiagate accusations — made from 2016 and on — these Machiavellian founding document-shredders are still trying to unseat an American president. A president, who at the moment has arguably legitimate questions about the possible previous shenanigans of his 2020 opponent, Joe Biden.

One can understand why President Trump's supporters are infuriated by the Unseen Establishment's never-ending, almost certainly illegal, interference with him.

One has to wonder what will be going to go through waffling voters' minds, after this repeated Deep State affront to Constitution-guided decency.

Yet, on the other hand, we are mostly so rock-headed that no dishonor or illegality committed by our side will dissuade us from our chosen political position.

The ship sinks, with its no-swim rats continuing to eat holes through its hull.
