Christmas Eve's abbreviated look at how the United States really works

If you want an abbreviated look at how the United States really works . . .

. . . check out just two things, this Christmas Eve.

Both briefly dissected below.

Item 1 — No opportunity for graft left unfulfilled

Congress just passed a COVID relief package that is 5,593 pages long.

The historically absurd agglomeration of undeserved handouts — its full text, here — is packed with lobbyist-written grift and graft amounting to billions and billions of dollars.

These grifty extortions have little to do with surviving COVID's impact. And mostly to do with lining Fat Cats' — as well as Unnecessary Cats' — pockets.

Naturally, no one read the proposed provisions before voting.

In truth, making genuine assessment impossible is part of the Plutocratic Establishment's plan in furthering its lucre-swilling Corporate Socialism.

Item 2 — Presidential pardons

American presidents enjoy pardoning people, many of whom do not deserve it. Evidently, our cultural practice is to save the undeserving from figurative Satan's earthly fire.

Thus, the US Commander in Douche-Scumbagism pardons a host of crony douche-scumbags, and afterward calls it a presidential term well satisfied.

As of this writing and contrary to the Lamestream, Toddling Donny has arguably not outdone most of his predecessors in selecting particularly loathsome folk to officially "forgive".

Certainly, it would be difficult to quantify the past three presidents' eyebrow-raising pardon lists and then confidently declare Trump the overall winner in horribleness.

Note

Perhaps the Blackwater Four are an exception to Trump's pardoning ordinariness. However, the record regarding their prosecution appears to have hinged on legal and ethical wrongs committed by the incoming Obama administration.

Obama's herd prosecuted an incident that the State Department had already cleared as being an appropriate use of force. Reportedly, there were also associated distortions in legal process and evidence presentation that followed. If so, President Trump may actually have done something laudatory.

You can see an official list of Trump's pardoned Downer Folk, here. Scroll down to December 2020 for the Blackwater Four.

The moral? — Corruption is the United States' main game

Be good at that — or perish forgotten.

In recompense, fall back on the tale of the celestial sky's Magi-leading Christmas star. Or whatever else keeps you walking with ethically pointed steps.
