Blinken gets off his ass about Brittney Griner — but not all those Ukrainians that American leadership is getting killed

Secretary of State Blinken's mental and moral midget-ness . . .

. . . is reflected in this news:

The Biden administration has offered a deal to Russia to bring home Brittney Griner, a WNBA basketball player from Houston facing a trial on drug charges, and Paul Whelan, another American held in Russia, Secretary of State Antony Blinken said Wednesday.

Russia would release Griner and Whelan in exchange for Viktor Bout, a Russian arms trafficker imprisoned in the U.S., CNN reported.

A senior administration official told the news outlet that the deal has the backing of President Joe Biden . . . .

Griner has been held in detention for drug possession since February.

Her family has repeatedly called on the White House to secure her release, even if that includes a prisoner exchange.

Whelan has been held in Russia for espionage since 2018. [See here.]

Blinken said he will speak with Russian foreign minister Sergey Lavrov in the coming days to bring up the release of Whelan and Griner.

It will be the first meeting since Russia invaded Ukraine.

Disproportion

The United States instigated the Russo-Ukrainian War. And since then, it has prevented an end to that slaughter by essentially refusing to speak to Russian Foreign Minister Sergey Lavrov. Or anyone else in authority.

In marked contrast, Blinken is now willing to get off his professionally worthless ass to try to speak to Lavrov about basketballer Griner.

Evaluate the resulting moral picture

On the one hand, tens of thousands of mostly innocent (and American-proxied) dead Ukrainians.

On the other, a (perhaps formerly) self-entitled American rich person. Who got herself into trouble by — inferably knowingly — violating Russian substances law.

The moral? — America's evil neocons could not find . . .

. . . good sense, moral balance and sensible policy.

Even all three fell on them from God's heavens.

With Jesus Christ (Himself) piloting them down.
