BLM and Antifa's "death to America" repulsiveness is drowning them both — Democrats maybe also

The following video shows . . .

. . . an Oakland (California) Black Lives Matter component chanting "Death to America".

The video apparently originated with on-the-streets reporter Andy Ngô. You can see it on his 30 August 2020 Twitter feed.

Or here:

An obvious point

The most successfully major recent revolutions — Russia and China — used Bolshevik (proletariat-recruiting) or Maoist (peasant-recruiting) tactics. Both of which presume that one has to gain a strong popular base, before overturning whatever establishment one opposes.

From that perspective, tactics like "death to America" — and shouting "wake up, motherf...r, wakeup" (while carousing through a sleeping neighborhood) — just aggravate the much more powerful American majority.

Plus — why wreck America's most admirable national strengths?

Why burn and loot small businesses, during BLM and Antifa-sponsored riots?

Small businesses, small agriculture, and the working public constitute the United States' most fundamental decencies.

Attacks on those core societal segments are virtually guaranteed to fail.

That's because, for most of us, these are the "real" United States.

For the revolutionary-minded

A more appropriate target for change is the United States' Plutocratic Establishment.

The Great American Oligarchy constrains or crushes all but the top socioeconomic classes.

However somehow — probably via the Democratic Party's deliberately divisive emphasis upon narrowly defined identities — an exaggerated emphasis on skin color has overridden the larger and more critically important goal of achieving basic economic justice for all.

Could it be, as some conspiracy theorists allege . . .

. . . that mysterious Somebodies are funding and infiltrating with the idea of violently dividing the American public?

This tactic, presumably, performing as camouflage for their own plutocratic pillaging?

Or are BLM and Antifa people just strategically stupid?

What's struck me about both "movements" is their virtually complete lack of visibly coherent and workable political purpose. Rage, by itself, is not a strategy.

This lack of an implementable foundation parallels the Democratic Party, whose entire basis for 2020 existence is limited to fomenting Not-Trump-ism.

It takes a particularly vegetative brain to limit itself to these content-lacking forms of appeal.

Our confrontational times are made spectacularly worse by . . .

. . . so many people's abandonment of an allegiance to facts.

Curiously, given the nature of the Trump Era, prominent YouTube (true) "conservative" commentators have visibly demonstrated a greater loyalty to video-recorded facts, than their Democratic, BLM and Antifa adversaries.

For examples of that, find — and thoroughly watch — videos for Jacob Blake, Kyle Rittenhouse, Kenosha burning and Portland riots.

"Liberal" commentators, I have recently been noticing, have been more consistently lying, distorting or ignoring what is in plain sight. Apparently, so as to continue making their tiresomely exaggerated Not-Trump and All Whites Are Racist talking points.

Here is an NPR example of this:

President Trump declined to condemn the actions of the suspected 17-year-old shooter of 3 protesters against police brutality in Kenosha — claiming, without evidence, that it appeared the gunman was acting in self-defense.

Evidence for Rittenhouse's arguable self-defense is blatantly evident in videos of the Kenosha melee. See here, for instance.

The predominant legal question is whether Rittenhouse's level of delivered force was reasonable, given the overall circumstances.

In short, NPR lied. Evidently on purpose, in view of how widely distributed the pertinent and easily accessed videos have been.

It is as if Trump's Mendacity Contagion has taken over his opponents' ranks, as well.

No society can easily survive such widely shared, hallucinogenic rejections of Reality.

The moral? — The American political current is swinging President Trump's way

That is not because Trump is a decent guy. It is because his political opponents are unattractively violent, vacuously whiny, brain-dead or just maladroit.
