Austin and Milley are peddling swill again

Does lying smarm have charm?

Below is U.S. Defense Secretary Lloyd Austin trying to persuade us that unicorns not only exist, but can fly like God's sparrows:

We've had a very productive morning in our fourth meeting of the Ukraine Defense Contact Group, which we conducted virtually this time.

Russia's cruel and unprovoked invasion has spurred the international community into action and today's meeting is just another sign of the way that nations of goodwill are rising to the moment.

The security assistance that we are rushing to Ukraine is making a real difference in real time and everyone in the Contact Group has been inspired by the courage of the Ukrainian people and the skill of the Ukrainian military.

Ukraine's leadership also stands unbowed and unflinching.

And some of our allies and partners are training Ukraine's forces, some are refurbishing Ukraine's equipment, and some are providing spare parts and combat enablers as well.

The United States will continue to push and to lead.  You see that yet again in our next new presidential drawdown of weapons and equipment to help Ukraine defend itself, which we'll announce later this week.

We're going to keep moving at the speed of war.  We're going to make clear that might does not make right.  We're going to stand strong with our fellow Contact Group members.  And we're going to support Ukraine's self-defense for the long haul.  And we're going to defend the rules-based international order that protects us all.

Austin's bullshit, translated

The US is proxying herds of Ukrainian people to death — so as to advance the United States' military industrial complex profits.

General Mark Milley stepped in . . .

. . . with America's typifying and conceptually mistaken emphasis on technology:

[Y]ou get six rounds out of the -- out of a HIMARS.

With the GMLRS, you only get one[,] if you use ATACMS.

So the -- you know, the -- there -- there's a difference here in volume.

Volume matters.

And they're both point, they're both precision, and they -- they're both very effective, but right now, the GMLRS is really fulfilling their need, and every time I talk to Gen. Zaluzhnyi, they're being very, very successful with them.

Someone who speaks in halting, fragmented Acronymese . . .

. . . has already handed you weighty evidence that he or she is an arguably misfocused idiot.

In Milley's defense, perhaps his awareness that he was lying out the proverbial wazoo caused him enough discomfort to corrupt his ability to speak intelligibly.

Technology is not a substitute for:

high numbers of notably competent, motivated troops

overwhelming numbers of (reasonably ordinary) artillery

and

masses of air-protected armor —

all of which are required to win a real ground war.

Let's think this through

Acronym by acronym:

HIMARS — Lockheed Martin's 'high mobility artillery rocket system'

rockets on a truck

GMLRS — Lockheed Martin's 'guided multiple launch rocket system'

 rockets on a truck

ATACMS — Lockheed Martin's 'army tactical missile system'

rockets (missiles) that go on those trucks

Notice the commonality — Lockheed Martin

What Austin and Milley are saying is that Lockheed Martin is going to win the Russo-Ukrainian War for Ukraine.

A war which, not coincidentally, we Americans instigated to bat-suck Russian blood.

Lockheed-America beating Russia seems doubtful.

Especially so because Lockheed's sole motivation is making money. Lockheed rakes in more profits, the more systems and ammunition it sells.

Winning, of course, would terminate this particularly voluminous flow of loot.

Thus, instead, our Military Industrial Complex's only goal is to actively stalemate the conflict.

The fact that tens of thousands of people are being slaughtered in that profits-sucking process does not bother Lockheed, the US military, or the Biden administration.

Killing in the name of purportedly 'holy' America is (apparently amusingly) profitable.

And we get to talk in airily explosive acronyms, at the same time.

Make's one feel powerful, doesn't it?

Let's step back (a moment) into Reality

First among a competent general's list of primary duties, is keeping an eye on what is really happening on the ground.

General Milley and former General Lloyd Austin both must know that they are peddling satanically nasty nonsense.

Their deception is intended to keep Ukraine's Death Ground ferociously gobbling lives to no achievably good strategic purpose.

A better example of (professionally core) Ignobility is not likely to surface soon.

The moral? — We are caught in the United States' Evil Dumbshits Affirmative Action Program

EDAAP.

Elevating viciously minded incompetents to Authority is our parasitic Oligarchy's chief method of societal control.

The worst among humanity represses the best. By design.
