Anthony Fauci just received the Dan David Prize for "defending science" — how delightfully inappropriate is that?

Anthony Fauci . . .

. . . that highly paid denizen of "American Liars in Leadership" — has just received the Dan David Prize in Public Health:

The US top infectious diseases expert, Anthony Fauci, has been awarded a prestigious $1m (£717,000) Israeli prize for his commitment to science.

He was recognised for "courageously defending science in the face of uninformed opposition during the challenging Covid crisis", the awards committee said in a statement.

"As the Covid-19 pandemic unravelled, [he] leveraged his considerable communication skills to address people gripped by fear and anxiety and worked relentlessly to inform individuals in the United States and elsewhere about the public health measures essential for containing the pandemic's spread.

"In addition, he has been widely praised for his courage in speaking truth to power in a highly charged political environment."

This, of course . . .

. . . is the same "Fauci guy" who initially told Americans that they had little to worry about from China's COVID-19 outbreak.

That, despite fulsome evidence (even then) that a virus of SARS-CoV-2's contagious respiratory type was inevitably going to take a hike around the planet.

On 21 January 2020, Dr. Fauci told Greg Kelly at Newsmax:

This [China's COVID-19 outbreak] is not a major threat for the people in the United States.

And this is not something that the citizens of the United States, right now, should be worried about.

Notice that YouTube and other platforms . . .

. . .  including apparently Google, are suppressing these bits of past truths.

Today, the above video clip, and the statements contained in it, are not particularly easy to find. Despite the fact that Fauci's "not to worry" quote was reasonably seen, heard and printed "everywhere" at the time that he said it.

I clearly remember wondering, while Fauci was speaking, how he could say something so epidemiologically idiotic.

And then, afterward . . .

Fauci bounced from one lie to another, as he continually misled the American people in conscious or unconscious aid of — we can reasonably suspect — Big Pharma's eventually profitable behalf.

You may recall Fauci's "don't wear masks" admonition. Despite, again, Asia's very early, clear indications that masks were almost certainly helpful under conditions Americans were likely to confront.

Or consider Fauci's sleight-of-hand blather about the purported safety of piling COVID-19 patients on the same aircraft with non-patients.

And his evidence-defying claims that the use of early-COVID hydroxychloroquine was not helpful and was instead, more or less blatantly dangerous.

Or his continual failure to mention rosily building international evidence for the even greater utility of using ivermectin under the same early COVID-treatment conditions.

Nor any mention of the long empirically suspected — now reasonably persuasively proven — benefits of vitamin D and calcifediol supplementation in preventing or ameliorating SARS-CoV-2's effects.

All the while, Fauci was touting the allegedly "promising" aspects of remdesivir which was then, and still now, demonstrably almost (and very expensively) useless for treating COVID-19.

In other words, the same "Dr" Fauci who — unscientifically and unmedically — paid no attention at all to medical practice and research from other, much more successful than us, COVID-controlling nations.

Consider here, too, Fauci's continually moved bar about how proportionately many Americans might be required to reach herd immunity. All that, without an iota of well-reasoned or researched evidence to support either his initial or subsequent statements as to the alleged roughly estimated proportion.

Fauci even admitted some of these lies in public

Apparently to no credibility-harming effect.

Once an Establishment-sponsored propaganda icon, always so, I guess.

The moral? — Yes, "that" prize-winning Anthony Fauci . . .

The smiling face of the incompetent American Party Line.

And, reportedly, the highest paid member of US government. Someone who obviously needs a million more (prize) dollars to pad his (hopefully soon) retirement from the "Liars for Big Pharma" stage.

Yeah, that guy.
